BMW 3 Series Receives Sport Collection Upgrade

BMW Enhances 3 Series with Sport Collection Upgrade

BMW is set to introduce the sought-after Sport Collection treatment to its 3 Series lineup starting next month.

The Sport Collection variant, based on the 330i sedan, brings a refined specification to the lineup, with the special edition model priced from $89,900 drive-away, representing a $4800 reduction compared to the standard vehicle.

In terms of equipment, the BMW 330i Sport Collection offers a unique specification with a focus on styling and convenience elements. While it omits certain features like blind spot monitoring and lane keep assist, it compensates with a comprehensive array of standard features, including metallic paint, a glass sunroof, front seat heating, and M high-gloss Shadowline extended content to enhance its road presence.

Paint options for the Sport Collection include Black Sapphire, Melbourne Red, Mineral White, M Portimao Blue, M Brooklyn Grey, or Skyscraper Grey, with Sensatec upholstery available in Black or Cognac.

Key standard equipment highlights comprise 19-inch M light alloy wheels, active cruise control with Stop & Go functionality, adaptive M suspension, ambient cabin lighting, BMW Driving Assistant, Comfort Access, Connected Package Professional, DAB+ digital radio reception, electric front seat adjustment, head-up display, LED headlights with high beam assist, Live Cockpit Professional, M Sport brakes, M Sport package, Parking Assistant Plus, and wireless smartphone charging.

Powering the Sport Collection variant is BMW’s 2.0-litre turbocharged inline four-cylinder petrol engine, producing 190kW of power and 400Nm of torque, mated to an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission driving the rear wheels.

The Sport Collection feature bundle has been previously introduced in the X3 range and various other BMW models, demonstrating BMW’s commitment to offering enhanced options across its lineup.

Despite facing competition from electric alternatives like the Tesla Model 3, the BMW 3 Series continues to perform strongly in its segment, maintaining its position ahead of traditional rivals such as the Audi A4 and Mercedes-Benz C-Class in terms of sales.
