Isuzu reveals pricing for the new 1.9-liter MU-X model

Isuzu Ute Australia unveils pricing and specifications for the new 1.9-liter turbo-diesel MU-X range this week. The seven-seat SUV range will hit the market next month (April), starting at $47,400 plus on-road costs.

The Japanese importer states that the addition of the 1.9-liter model expands options for Isuzu buyers, with the MY24 MU-X lineup now offering nine variants and two engine choices. Both the new 1.9-liter and the existing 3.0-liter turbo-diesel engines are paired with an Aisin-sourced six-speed automatic transmission. Customers can choose between two- and four-wheel drive configurations, with combined cycle fuel consumption ranging from as low as 7.4 liters per 100 kilometers.

Despite minor price increases ranging from $500 to $2000 depending on the variant, Isuzu emphasizes its commitment to providing value for money. Isuzu Ute Australia Managing Director Junta Matsui assures that the brand has maintained value across the MY24 MU-X range. The new 1.9-liter engine offers up to 10 percent better fuel efficiency compared to the 3.0-liter engine, with 100kW of power at 3600rpm and 350Nm of torque from 1800-2600rpm, providing strong mid-range response and driveability.

The MY24 Isuzu MU-X range offers a braked towing capacity of 3000kg and a Gross Combination Mass (GCM) Of 5500kg. Payload is listed at 735kg. The entry-grade LS-M is equipped with an array of Intelligent Driver Assist System technologies, including Adaptive Cruise Control, AEB with Turn Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring, and eight airbags.

Moving up the range, the LS-U grade offers improved ground clearance, larger alloy wheels, tire pressure monitoring, and additional comfort and convenience features such as dual-zone climate control and satellite navigation. The range-topping LS-T grade adds premium amenities such as leather-accented upholstery, variably heated front seats and remote engine start.

All MY24 Isuzu MU-X models come with a five-year Flat Price Servicing program, a six-year/150,000km warranty, and up to seven years of roadside assistance.
