Aston Martin Is Preparing Its Most Hardcore Vantage

Aston Martin is continuing development of a new high-performance version of the Vantage, and the latest prototype suggests the project is now entering an advanced stage.

The car has been spotted testing at the Nürburgring wearing what appears to be production-intent bodywork. While some details remain concealed, the overall aerodynamic package gives a strong indication that this will be considerably more aggressive than the regular Vantage.

The upcoming model is widely expected to carry the Vantage RS name and could become the ultimate performance-focused member of the Vantage family.

The Aero Package Is Impossible to Miss

The biggest difference between the RS prototype and the standard Vantage is the amount of aerodynamic hardware fitted to the car.

At the front, the prototype features a much more aggressive grille design with additional openings and ducts. A prominent front splitter extends from the lower bumper and appears to feature small aerodynamic end plates.

These components are not simply cosmetic. Increased airflow and additional aerodynamic load can help improve high-speed stability, braking performance and cornering behaviour on a circuit.

A Wider and More Muscular Stance
